Syed Modi case closed, motive unclear - India - NEWS - The Times of India
Syed Modi, the National Badminton Player in 1980s, was murdered in July 1988. The Lucknow Session court has given life imprisonment to the accused. The following report has given the history of the case. (There is some mistake in details and dates given in the report.)In the report, the court judgement has been emphasized wherein court had pointed out to the CBI that the motive of the murder has not been established. Thus, it is a peculiar case of investigation results and final judgement.

The Politician in the Pawam Nimbalkar Murder Case and the motive
The politician identified in the Pawanraje Nimbalkar Case is from Uttar Pardesh. The Motive was a grudge. The guiding factor was the losses in the business due to social and economic activism of the Pawanraje Nimbalkar.
Present Status: The CBI inquiry is going on. The chargesheet has yet to be made. The case is not yet brought to the court.

Fifteen Lakhs Delievered at the Door Case

Aarushi case: CBI seeks info-Delhi-Cities-The Times of India
Every murder case is a tragic incidence. The investigation in every murder case is a tricky affair and time limit some times does not matter. However, in this case of May 2008, one is forced to think again and again the actual role of the Media in projecting this case and its impact on the investigation and outcome. Further, it has also brought in to forceful attention and subject to questioning the actual competency of the local level police.
